15 Jul Philippe
The French Cowboy has yet again made his mark on Houston diners with his recent opening of Philippe on Post Oak Blvd., his second restaurant in Houston.
The atmosphere is as eclectic and unique as the food, with two floors and two different menus. The first floor is a great place to meet with friends for a quick bite and a hand crafted cocktail.
Upstairs brings a different feel, a bit more sophisticated with it contemporary art from local gallery Calton & Farb. The menu here is more complex and offers such fairs as the spicy duck tamales or pork ravioli are good starters.
If you’re feeling for something on the “lighter” side, the trout is a great option, but then again this is the French Cowboy’s spot, go ahead and have the steak and frites!
Bon appetit!
